Blast through the eras.
Breakoidz is a classic space-shooter reimagined for the culture: pilot your ship through waves of oversized vinyl records, splitting the big platters into smaller and smaller pieces. Wave names cycle through Hip Hop eras — Old School, Golden Age, Boom Bap, Bling, Crunk, Drill — and every fifth round is a Heavyweight Round boss fight against a giant gold record. Chain kills to build a combo multiplier up to 5×, and grab cassette power-ups for rapid fire, shields, screen-clearing booms, and extra lives. Your high score is saved in your browser.
How to play
- Thrust and turn your ship to line up shots on the vinyl records.
- Big records split into smaller ones — clear the wave to advance.
- Chain hits quickly to build a combo multiplier up to 5×.
- Grab cassette power-ups: FLOW rapid fire, ICE shield, BOOM screen clear, and 1-UP extra lives.
- Survive the Heavyweight Round boss every fifth wave.
Controls
Arrow keys or WASD to thrust and turn (Down/S to brake), Space to fire, P or Esc to pause. On touch: left side of the screen is a floating joystick, right side hold to fire.
